Ultimo Guerrero vs. Black Terry

One day after taking Rey Escorpion’s hair in a grueling match at Arena Mexico, here is UG working a newfound indie’s first ever main event. Against Black Terry of all people, which sounds super awesome. Watching UG on indie scene is rather interesting because he’s able to do scientific llaves and create some really fun chain combos there, something he cannot do in CMLL due to style constraints. In CMLL you only see him do it for short time in primeras. This match was almost entirely spent on the mat, with two great wrestlers working maestro style with very little striking and rope-running. Almost everything was pure llaves and chain wrestling where we got to see some impressive holds. Once they moved away from it to wrap the match up, things kind of took a drop in quality, also combine it with the fact the match could’ve used five more minutes and you get the reasons why this match didn’t quite reach the four star territory.
