Guerra de Titanes - Part 2

AAA Guerra de Titanes 2016
 (2016/01/22)

Mamba, Gran Apache, Mini Charly Manson vs. Pimpinela Escarlata, Nino Hamburguesa, Dinastia

Glorious little lowcard match loaded with colorful characters and usual mixed lucha tropes, but it worked because everyone fucking nailed it in their roles. The crowd being rabid and reacting properly to literally everything totally helped as well. The highlights include the swank Manson/Dinastia match-up and Apache and Nino going at it. Everyone loves Nino! And Pimpi too! He/she was crazy over, like in his/her/its heyday.

AAA Guerra de Titanes 2016

Daga, Parka Negra, Super Fly vs. Jack Evans, Australian Suicide, Fireball

Watched this three times already, to make sure I was right, and yes I was, I was right, because this match totally OWNS! Konnan is not booker anymore, but thankfully the new management didn’t write off the Daga/Suicide feud, and this match is another doozy trio in their ongoing feud that will probably culminate in possibly stellar Mask vs. Hair clash. These two wrestle like they truly despise and want to kill each other. They were involved in the finish here and it was awesome. But Evans and Fireball were the real stars of the match, Evans with his frantic madman bumping and turbo drift offense, Fireball with the current craziest highspot of the year. Parka Negra and Super Fly deserve credit too for being such great and perfectly serviceable role players on the rudo team. Everything clicked here, the match was wonderfully booked and the crowd was having an amazing time, and so did I. Insane match!

AAA Guerra de Titanes 2016
 (2016/01/22)

3-WAY ELIMINATORIA para Campeonato Mundial de Tercias AAA (vacant): Zorro, Dark Cuervo, Dark Scoria vs. Hijo del Fantasma, Taurus, Hijo del Pirata Morgan vs. Parka, Electroshock, Garza Jr.

Rather good during chaotic brawling parts, and quite empty during the regular lucha parts. Luckily the chaotic parts were much fun and some crazy shit happened, such as the very best Hijo del Fantasma tope ever. Parka did surprisingly lot of work and most of it was tight and mobile. To be honest, the performers (well, minus Zorro) got the most out of the match considering AAA’s shit booking and all the clusterfuck with vacant titles and random teams put together.

Seriously, find Fantasma’s tope!
