Guerra de Titanes - Part 1

AAA Guerra de Titanes 2016
 (2016/01/22)

LUCHA EN LUMBERJACK: Taya, Keira, Lady Shani vs. Faby Apache, Goya Kong, Lady Maravilla

Pleasant surprise, as I was expecting silly gimmick nonsense with Hijo del Tirantes as referee, but thankfully none of that happened. The match had much more badassery and intense lucha than shenanigans. The lumberjacks weren’t fucking around either. Really nice opener.

AAA Guerra de Titanes 2016
 (2016/01/22)

3-WAY ELIMINATORIA para Campeonato Mundial de Parejas AAA (vacant): Chessman & Averno vs. Aerostar & Fenix vs. Villano IV & Mascara Ano 2000 Jr.

Fun while it lasted, needed more time. Always good to see V4 in action, he was awesome here with all the punches and old school tricks and armdrags. Fenix did two tornillos, Aerostar did his own aerial stuff, Averno and Chessman were rock solid bruisers, and so on. Good match, but I wish Aerostar and Fenix won, obviously they went political route here to keep the veterans in the company, but the hell with it, you better push younger luchadors while you can. And what’s the deal with La Sociedad turning on their new tag team champions in the name of shitty Joe Lider, lmao…

AAA Guerra de Titanes 2016
 (2016/01/22)

Mesias & Texano Jr. vs. Dr. Wagner Jr. & Psycho Clown

Totally mediocre and ultimately disappointing Relevos Increibles style match. But, to be perfectly fair, they never even had a proper chance due to shit booking. You see, the tag team that wins here moves onto mano a mano at Rey de Reyes for vacant Megacampeonato. Mesias and Texano are from the same faction but they couldn’t wait until the match is over to start with teasing and bickering and heckling? Heh… Wagner turning on Psycho makes some sense, but not too much, not in a situation like this. They were on the path of winning the match and Wagner turned on Psycho because… reasons? AAA is so insane for even bothering with Wagner and investing all this time and effort in him. The match was surprisingly short, they worked a sprint and many things didn’t work, but I’ll just mention one: Psycho was very sloppy, and it’s becoming a worrying trend, tbf. Skip this match pls.
