Super
Power Series 2014
(2014/5/29)
2. Mitsuya
Nagai & Takeshi Minamino vs. Big Guns (Zeus & The Bodyguard)
Decent
match, but barely. It was done logically and all that jazz, but lacked the
heat, big time.

4. Hikaru
Sato vs. Kendo Kashin
So,
Kashin’s mini-hyped mysterious companion turned out to be Kikuchi… who turned
on him in the first minute of the match. Yeaoh. Unfortunately, Kikuchi didn’t
leave the arena and his interactions with the wrestlers hurt the match
severely. Shame, because these guys mesh very well.

5. Kento
Miyahara & Kotaro Suzuki vs. Burning Wild (Takao Omori & Jun Akiyama)
For
some reason, Omori is the No. 1 in his tag team now. Oh wait, that’s because he
was the fresh Champion Carnival winner at the time, nevermind. This was a
solid, fast-paced and dynamic tag match that was good until few moments of
inexplicable botchy sloppiness by Kotaro, which hurt the overall impression.
Akiyama and Miyahara were awesome, though.
**3/4
6. AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Championship:
Atsushi Aoki vs. Ultimo Dragon ©
This
was just few cunt hairs away from being as good as their January match. There
was some smart limbwork on both sides, Ultimo didn’t work Aoki’s arm because he
knew that lesson was learned, therefore he attacked the legs instead, while
Aoki was the one attacking Ultimo’s arms this time. It all meshed quite well,
and the finish was satisfying.
***1/4
7. AJPW World Tag Team Championship:
KENSO & Kengo Mashimo vs. Evolution (Suwama & Joe Doering) ©
Long
ass match that can bring you down sometimes, but ultimately – it’s worth it,
the payoff was effective and strong. Suwama/Mashimo must happen somewhere.
