FALLS for FWE Heavyweight Championship:
AJ Styles vs. John Hennigan ©
Family
Wrestling Entertainment has to be the worst name ever. I mean, it sounds so
shitty, damn! The crowd is your typical US indie fans with them CHANTS~! One
thing is easy to notice with these crowds, whenever they’re silent and have
nothing to chant for (or write DAT ______ on Twitter) during the match, it’s a
clear cut sign the match is good. That’s exactly what happened in the 3rd
Fall here, which was seriously neat. The booking really hurt the potential of
this “dream match”, because the morons who booked the show put them in a 2/3
without them never facing each other before. Falls 1 and 2 were solid but
unspectacular, quite short too, although I liked how they ended. 3rd
Fall is where the good shit is, they worked a rough and physical style, they
didn’t fly or jump around much, instead they focused on sluggish striking and
power struggle. Nice match and there’s plenty of room for better things down
the road, but not in FWE please.
