Asuka
vs. Emma
Really good
match that would’ve been great without the ref bump and interference crap, oh
man, it was completely unnecessary and off-putting. IMO. But let’s talk about
positives, there was a lot of those. Both ladies were awesome, Asuka was
balancing between the FIP and surly aggressor very well, and Emma was just
getting better and better throughout the match, and she really got it going
eventually. Asuka was something else once again, they told a compelling story
about her grappling and striking craftiness and really – both competitors sold
the dynamics properly. Good shit!

Oh gods,
this was beautiful! Honest to fuck, I was sent back to the 80s WWF while
watching this, because it felt like a Hulk Hogan championship defense. In case
you had no idea, I adore a Hulk Hogan match! This one really felt like a filler
title defense against a monster challenger, where you know the Hulkster is
going to retain, but it’s not about the destination, it’s about the trip. The
trip is all about bringing the monster down, going the extra mile, finding new
ways to redefine ourselves. This shit was excellent, they told such a simple
yet super effective story about babyface speed taking on enormous heel power.
That finish was brilliant, full of struggle and nature, and it deserves all the
credit in the world.

I could as
well DUD this. Such a dull, boring and insanely by-the-numbers match deprived
of any charm or anything that could resemble a decent pro-graps. Sorry, but I
don’t want to spend much time on writing about this abomination.
bad
