Newish CMLL

CMLL 2015/5/26

Pequeno Olimpico & Pequeno Nitro vs. Ultimo Dragoncito & Fantasy

Slick and clean match, everything was so smooth and the layout was catchy and designed to bring out the best. The Pequenos were relentless aggressors and the tecnicos’ comeback was super. I also really liked the finish.

16-MAN QUALIFYING CIBERNETICO - Busca de un Idolo 4: Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Boby Zavala, Blue Panther Jr., Disturbio, Canelo Casas, Esfinge, Flyer vs. Gallo, Pegasso, Joker, Akuma, Cancerbero, Raziel, Sagrado, Stigma

Few opening minutes were rather calm, but then a total crescendo of crazy flying spots occurred, bodies in the air everywhere. Don’t really know what to write about this one other than it had a bunch of spots and it was groovy. So happy that Zavala made it to the Busca, dude’s so damn good.

Dinastia Casas (Felino, Tiger, Puma) vs. Divinos Laguneros (Blue Panther, Blue Panther Jr., The Panther)

Pure sprint, it wasn’t even 15 min long but they made the most out of it, everything was a quick movement, all the match-ups were nice, some were nicer, and you know you’re good when you make Felino look not so shitty. This was a blast of a match.

Mistico, Valiente, Dragon Lee vs. Dragon Rojo Jr., Polvora, Kamaitachi

Another super fast trio, this time with a crazy third fall featuring quite possibly the SICKEST Dragon Lee dive yet. I could watch him and Kamaitachi wrestle each other forever.

Volador Jr. vs. Negro Casas

Even though it was kind of too short for them, even though the layout was more voladorish and less casasish, this was still a damn sweet match. I watch Negro on a regular basis, and it still fucking amazes me just how much punishment he can take. Seriously, he takes REALLY stiff strikes in the head all the time, he bumps around like a 20 year old Dragon Lee. I don’t think Negro Casas is a human being, guys.

CMLL 2015/5/24

Mascara, Maximo, Tetsuya Naito vs. Ultimo Guerrero, Terrible, Rey Bucanero

Totally fun, it was mostly light-hearted but still with some hard bumps. Naito and UG better build to a mano a mano! This was also the best La Mascara has looked in quite some time.
