World
Tag League 2014
(2014/12/7)
1. Yohei
Komatsu vs. Sho Tanaka
I
believe this is the biggest stage for these two yet, awesome to see them getting
chance to display their talents. Standard good stuff here, solid matwork and
nifty counters.
***1/4
2. Taichi
& Desperado vs. Tiger Mask & BUSHI
I’m
ready to see what else Taichi and Desperado have in store for us, the current
formula got tiresome.

6. Suzuki-gun
(Minoru Suzuki, Takashi Iizuka, TAKA Michinoku) vs. Toru Yano, Kazushi
Sakuraba, Gedo
MiSu
is a dick for ages, that’s all you need to know.
**1/4
7. Bullet
Club (AJ Styles, Bad Luck Fale, Yujiro Takahashi) vs. Tetsuya Naito, Tomoaki
Honma, Ryusuke Taguchi
Good
match where everyone played their roles well, it seems they’re building to
Honma’s first big payoff win for WK9, but then again, I might be wrong.
Styles/Naito gonna be TITS.
***1/4
8. CHAOS
(Kazuchika Okada, Shinsuke Nakamura, Tomohiro Ishii, YOSHI-HASHI) vs. Hiroshi
Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, Togi Makabe, Sombra
Eh…
Not good, shit dragged and some parts were dry. Not bad either, we got to see
our usual suspects doing their stuff and it has its moments. Okada piledriving
Tanahashi in the post-match was awesome, though.

9. World Tag League 2014 – FINAL:
Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows vs. Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata
Amazing
match that summed up the entire Goto-Shibata journey into 20 minutes, with nice
callbacks to screwed double-team spots and the eternal fight with Bullet Club.
The entire match was one big story about Goto and Shibata getting rid of losing
mentality that kind of got to them, it was a great watch. There’s nothing like
watching a tag match with a good face-in-peril segment, and we got two of those
here, with Goto’s being long, sluggish and amazing. They had to dig very
fucking deep to win the tournament, it was a very tough task conquering the big
bad gaijin duo and their pack of interfering jackals, it made for a helluva
payoff and legit feelgood moment. Tremendous match.
****1/2
