Lucha Memes Chairo II
(2015/12/25)
1. Alas
de Acero, Aramis, Iron Kid, Demasiado vs. Suicida, Freelance, Super Mega,
Septimo Rayo
Jeeesus
Christ, this was pure insanity, I think I’m spent already. You can expect a lot
of things from an indie lucha multi-man opener, and calmness is not one of
them. However, these guys managed to contain their own chaos, which resulted in
strong and relatively logical spotfest. This match was just a bunch of short
guys doing fucking crazy flips, dives and other high-risk shit, and it was
beautiful. Alas de Acero looked the smoothest to me, and Freelance was
definitely the craziest one, he was so goddamn reckless, I loved it. One other
thing, the match probably benefited from the fact all these guys were/are
pretty damn fresh to me, because there are not many ways for us to watch indie
lucha unless you’re willing to spend $4,80 per match, which is an insane price
that only allows you to consume 5-6 matches from indie scene maybe once a
month.

2. Arez,
Impulso, Belial vs. Decnnis, Toscano, Zumbido
Another
strong undercard match, also another spotfest, but not as wild as the opener.
There were still some spectacular dives, obviously. Zumbido was the best rudo
guy, Arez and Impulso carried the tecnico load. I really appreciated the first
few minutes with the rudos laying some gang beatdown on the pretty boys.

3. Negro
Navarro vs. Virus
This was
never gonna be Virus/Cerebro, make no mistake about it, but it came as close as
possible to it, which is major accomplishment. Unlike every other Navarro
Maestro Expo out there, this matcore actually had some clear and tangible sense
of escalation and increased intensity. All hail Virus! Negro Navarro is not
very technically sound and precise for someone who takes so much pride in lucha
matcore style.
Great, pure
llaves contra llaves maestro showcase with literally zero strikes, it was all
holds and jockeying for positions.

4. Dalys
vs. Keira
Solid
beginning, good asskicking in the middle, bad closing stretch, terrible fucking
finish that ruined the whole damn thing, yuck!
bad
5. Dr.
Cerebro vs. Negro Casas
This was
basically the best possible CMLL Match Relampago, with two highly seasoned
veterans going heavy at each other in order to collect that quick and sweet W.
They skipped all the feeling out stages and went right onto the matter. The
finish totally caught me off guard, and I gotta be honest here, because at
first I didn’t really know how to react but then after watching it few more
times, I learned to appreciate it. La Casita out of nowhere always works for
me.

6. Traumas
(I & II) vs. Black Terry & Negro Navarro
Such massive
disappointment, and I had huge expectations for this match to take the show to
the next level. Instead we got a painfully average and ultimately super
disappointing tag team match, I swear a god they had no idea where to take the
match and how to handle each others. So weird and so disappointing, man… Do NOT
watch this!

7. Atlantis
vs. Caifan
Terrific,
fierce brawl, worked in good old smashmouth style. All the punches, chops,
pushes etc. were awesome. Caifan bled, he was highly motivated to take on CMLL’s
top babyface legend and he made big statement when he ripped his mask. People
often forget what a great brawler Atlantis actually is, and I hope this match
serves as a reminder that dude can go real hard when situation requires.
