AAA 4/3 (Part 1)

AAA 2015/4/3

Super Fly & Hijo del Pirata Morgan vs. Australian Suicide & Dinastia

Not even close to what the match could have been. For some reason they just didn’t click all together, despite some good individual efforts, especially by Pirata. The crowd wasn’t into the match. Dinastia wasn’t on his smoothest level and just in general the match felt kind of awkward on few occasions.

AAA 2015/4/3

Hijo del Fantasma vs. Fenix

This is a non-title rematch of the Rey de Reyes clash, which was good but not great as some people suggested. And that’s the case here too, another fine cruiserweight freakfest with some stunning visuals and rather crazy athleticism, but ultimately suffering from too much time given. Book these two in a Lucha Underground sprint and it’d probably be a four star mini-classic, but here in AAA they get almost 15 minutes, burn their matwork very early and move onto big moves pretty damn fast, and then they have a problem with killing time. Potential is obviously there, and this still a good match, they just need more guidance to put the whole thing together.

AAA 2015/4/3

Mesias, Texano Jr., Pentagon Jr. vs. Alberto el Patron, Myzteziz, Murder Clown

Really neat match, mostly a brawl, the rudos dominated the action in their usual fashion for a good amount of time, then the tecnicos made their comeback and it was good. Mesias and Alberto beat each other hard, they seem to have a very promising chemistry. Eventually they a reset button and tried to work a relatively normal trio match, which didn’t favor the bad guys too much, Mesias and Alberto got to close the match and we got a clean, satisfying finish. Pretty sweet match overall, Murder Clown did more than enough to replace the injured Psycho Clown, and I sincerely hope AAA pushes Pentagon as the next big rival for Myzteziz, either him or Texano.
