For the life of me, I have no clue why the hell did I skip this match months ago. But nevermind now, I just watched it and it’s fucking fantastic, right up there with Becky/Sasha to the point where I cannot decide which one I prefer. Yes, this 4-way is THAT awesome. Tons of fun, this was just an ultra vivid 4-way loaded with captivating rhythm, strong pacing and incredibly smart layout. Obviously Sasha, Becky and Charlotte were just hitting it on all cylinders, but you already knew that, however the real surprise was Bayley, I’ve never seen her wrestle before and bah gawd – she was outstanding here, might even declare her the MVP. Beautiful match. And Sasha? Well, based on three big matches I’ve seen from her, she’s gotta be one of the best big match workers in the world, she’s just so damn fabulous.

SUPER LIBRE: Super Guapos (Shocker, Scorpio Jr., Bestia Salvaje) vs. Villanos (III, IV, V)

This was 15 minutes of good old school lucha sangrienta awesomeness, two surly rudo trios going into a grueling battle filled with violence and tension. The Guapos worked as the “true” rudos here, dominating the primera and good chunk of segunda before an amazing Villanos comeback where they got super pissed off and just beat the shit out of Super Guapos for the whole tercera before the screwjob finish. Needless to say, there was blood, Scorpio was covered in red. When it comes to the body of work, there was nothing fancy about it, just heavy punches, biting, mask ripping, kicks, etc. Basically, a Villanos match, hehe. I especially adored the V4/Scorpio tussles, those were gnarly as hell. Excellent match.

Scott Steiner vs. Rob Van Dam

Well hello there, this is a good, fun match. Steiner is the undisputed, undefeated king of trash talking and I could watch him do it all day long. He was having fun out there, and so was the crowd. His second was Doc Gallows who was great in the role. This was your basic “heel constantly cheats” match, but done in such a right fashion, I really liked it. Steiner was an awesome aggressor and Bob was bumping well for him. Steiner needs to rule Jarrett’s GFW.

Pequeno Olimpico & Pequeno Nitro vs. Ultimo Dragoncito & Fantasy

Slick and clean match, everything was so smooth and the layout was catchy and designed to bring out the best. The Pequenos were relentless aggressors and the tecnicos’ comeback was super. I also really liked the finish.

Steen Going Over Cena Clean Is Rather Cool, But the Praise Should End Right There

Kevin Owens vs. John Cena

Good match in general, but ultimately very disappointing considering all the praise. I guess many people think high of it because of “shock value” of Cena losing clean to a surly new aggressor, but that’s such a cliché at this point, as he already lost clean to Lesnar last year and to Danielson two years ago. So, it’s not that shocking. This match had a really good first half, borderline great matter fact, but then Cena kicked out of Steen’s finisher in the middle of the match… in Steen’s debut match, lmao. Obviously, it wouldn’t be your generic WWE/Cena big match style if an opponent doesn’t steel Cena’s AA finisher, and that’s the moment that completely threw me away from the match emotionally. The entire second half was nothing but big bombs and finishers, literally. Good match, but very disappointing considering all the hype, the early brawling portions saved it from mediocrity.
