Rush
vs. Shocker
During the
first two falls, the match was more a vicious bar fight, and much less a
regular pro-wrestling contest. Watching them hit each other very hard, it makes
you wonder whether they took a long piss in their respective chilies or
something. The tercera dragged a little bit because it went longer than
necessary, but nothing scary, overall the match was awesome.

Sombra, Diamante Azul vs. Shocker, Rey Bucanero, Terrible
Just a
fantastic prelude to the hair match, this was a heated, hate-filled brawl with
Rush and Shocker putting some more fuel onto their bitter beef, this was all
about odio, mucho, mucho odio. The first fall had Shocker’s team outbrawling
Rush and his buddies, but when Toro Blanco makes his return he’s one furious
ball and all hell breaks loose. It translated into the segunda perfectly, it’s
all abour Rush vs. Shocker again and it’s glorious, Shocker wins 2-0 and Arena
Mexico goes ballistic for him. What a fantastic helter-skelter!

Rush,
Mascara, Diamante Azul vs. Shocker, Ultimo Guerrero, Rey Bucanero
Filled with
Rush/Shocker hate, but the other four guys didn’t really partake in it, they
were rather working their own tag match. Nothing wrong with that, but it did
prevent the match from being bloody great, which is something it could’ve been
easily. All the Rush/Shocker brawling throughout the crowd was nifty and much
appreciated. They finished the match in a proper manner as a build-up to the
upcoming hair match.

Cabellera vs. Cabellera: Shocker
vs. Rush
Amazing
match and a proper blow-off to their super intense feud, this was a perfect
mixture of nasty bar fighting and classic lucha, I love how they were shifting
back-and-forth from those two. The subplot was Rush resorting to big boots,
stomps, kicks and chops every time he felt endangered by Shocker’s llaves.
Great shit. The tercera was almost magical with the crowd being red hot, the
nearfalls were beautifully done and served dramatics very well, the match ended
on a high note. Wonderful hair match!
