Real World Tag League 11/24

Real World Tag League 2014 – Yutaka Yoshie Debut 20th Anniversary

(2014/11/24)

1.      Naoya Nomura vs. Masayuki Mitomi

Damn fine, intense opener between the young guns, they worked mat very well, the finish was great.

***1/4

2.      Masao Inoue vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru

Inoue is slow now, but he’s still one of the greatest jobbers in the world with impeccable selling. Good little match, awesome finish too.

3.      Ryuji Hijikata & SUSHI vs. Kento Miyahara & Kotaro Suzuki

Excellent tag that showcased scary Kotaro/Hijikata TV title match potential as well as Miyahara’s explosive progression as an elite pro-wrestler, his big boots and knees look phenomenal, he’s a natural intensity personified. Also, props to SUSHI for keeping his smelly shit to minimum, it certainly made for a better environment.

4.      Atsushi Aoki & Hikaru Sato vs. Go Shiozaki & Yohei Nakajima

Another great tag, Go is feared and avoided like a plague, skinny ass Yohei is a clear cut target and window to victory. However, he’s not here to fuck around, teaming with Go is making him motivated, can he avoid being the obvious fallman this time?

5.      RWTL 2014: KENSO & Mitsuya Nagai vs. Burning Wild (Jun Akiyama & Takao Omori)

Brilliant brawl, such a beautiful mixture of chaos and order, it was clear the Dark Kingdom top duo would take the nasty shortcut route, but Burning Wild proved themselves to be more than suitable foes when it comes to being dirty dickheads. The clean portions were not lengthy, as they always found some way to bring hell to the ring, the climax was extremely well done, man oh man, this was an amazing match.

****1/2

6.      RWTL 2014 – Yutaka Yoshie Debut 20th Anniversary: Yutaka Yoshie & Akebono vs. Joe Doering & Suwama

It was only natural these four trucks give us a full house. Another great match, they took their time, but once they got there – wow, smashing things happened. Yoshie was a marvelous face-in-peril, underdog and fan favorite in general, easily one of the best performances I’ve ever seen from him. Judging from here, a potential Yoshie/Suwama big match has tons and tons of potential.

Incredible show.
