AAA Verano de Escandalo 2015
(2015/06/14)
1. Taya,
Mamba, Machine Rocker, Mini Psycho Clown vs. Faby Apache, Pimpinela Escarlata,
Elegido, Dinastia
Typically
fun and vivid AAA opener, with lots of whacky personas adding so much to the whole
feeling, all the little match-ups were nice (Dinastia/Psycho!) and the rudo iso
beatdown was as good as anything you’ll see in that aspect of lucha. And yes,
Machine Rocker is the best!

2. 10-WAY
para Alas de Oro: Laredo Kid vs.
Super Nova vs. Super Fly vs. Steve Pain vs. Daga vs. Fenix vs. Bengala vs.
Drago vs. Hijo del Fantasma vs. Aerostar
As good as
AAA is in those perky little openers, they’re exactly the opposite in multi-man
spotfests. This one was no different, because the match was mostly two guys in
the ring doing rapid fire spots, with the rest of the crew just casually hanging
outside the ring. And there was A LOT of moves, and they were all visually
nice, but at the end of the day the match was just that – the moves. And
nothing more.

3. 3-WAY
para Campeonato Mundial de Tercias AAA:
Holocausto (Electroshock, Hijo del Pirata Morgan, Parka Negra) vs. Hell
Brothers (Cibernetico, Chessman, Averno) vs. Psycho Circus (Psycho Clown,
Murder Clown, Monster Clown) ©
Bah gawd, I
fucking love Psycho Circus. They bring blitz, glam and spectacle with them,
they’re whacky and insanely over with the crowds, they’re also a pretty good
trio when it comes to actual ringwork. This was such a short ‘n’ sweet 3-way
brawl that went all over the place, each team got enough time to display their
offense inside the ring, and since Hijo del Tirantes was officiating, you can
figure what else happened. So, overall, this was very fun, it also served as a
trigger for the Psycho/Chessman title match that happened later. Also, for some
reason Hijo del Pirata Morgan worked in mask here, lol.

4. LUCHA
EN JAULA – Cabelleras vs. Cabelleras:
Dark Cuervo & Dark Scoria vs. Angelico & Jack Evans
Great
apuesta cage match, probably saved by the smart “Escape Only” stipulation. La
Secta boys were good aggressors, the pretty gringos were bumping in flips, both
duos took turns in controlling the pace, there was some blood, the cage
structure was used nicely, the hardcore aspect was satisfying, so was the
finish, etc. No complaints here, this was a proper cage match, totally done
right, I really liked it.

5. Megacampeonato de AAA: Brian
Cage vs. Alberto el Patron
An Hijo del
Tirantes screwfest. And
I pretty much liked everything they did here, lol, it was trashy and super
heated, this is how you keep it real with all the blitz & glam of car crash
televisión. Kudos to whoever booked this. Full throttle screwfest full of
weapons and badassery, gotta love it.

6. Johnny
Mundo, Mesias, Pentagon Jr. vs. Rey Mysterio Jr., Myzteziz, Parka
Not a super great
match or the MOTM, but the talent involved was so strong they just had to
create a very good trio encounter even with a minimum effort. Parka’s comedy
was amazing here, all the goofy antics were hilarious, it was Parka at his very
best. Pentagon was as awesome as always, Mundo didn’t set the world on fire but
he did solid enough, Mesias was a super bruiser, Myzteziz did his neat dives,
Rey-Rey was THE star and he sure as hell presented himself in that fashion. Really
cool main event with logical booking and some nice storytelling bits and
visually nifty spots.
