Astral & Electrico vs. Demus 3:16 & Pequeno Olimpico

Good minis match, but nothing more. Demus was awesome, Olimpico was serviceable, Electrico was… there, and Astral was good, but his execution still makes your brain hurt (many 50+ year olds hit those armdrags much faster). Also, Demus lost twice in a row by DCO. Didn’t care for that. Good shit that could’ve been so much better.

Fuego, The Panther, Esfinge vs. Tiger, Puma, Super Comando

What an awesome goddamn lowcard match, it had a main event heat and this was the total MOTN. The main match-up, and the most heated one, was Super Comando taking on The Panther. Now, the former is not very good, but the latter is stupendously good, and carried the former to something truly great. I hope it leads to an apuesta clash, CMLL often does these “young and promising tecnico against an experienced barbaric rudo” midcard feuds very well. But they had a strong backup in the other two pairings, which were Fuego/Puma and Esfinge/Tiger, and every luchador stepped up and went the extra mile here. This was a good old skirmish with a lot of gang beatdowns, valiant tecnico comebacks, crazy flying (Panther’s tope!!!), brawling and mask-ripping. Watch this match!

Good ladies shit, no complaints. Nothing mindblowing, but nothing insulting either.

Guerreros Laguneros (Ultimo Guerrero, Euforia, Gran Guerrero) vs. Thunder, Dragon Rojo Jr., Boby Z

Okay, now Thunder is bad, I know. Plenty of people call him terrible, but I wouldn’t go THAT far, simply due to simple fact he does that one little thing well – he’s a big ass heat magnet, Arena Mexico fucking LOATHES him, and he knows how to utilize and interject it into his matches. I like his feud with UG. The fans love UG and make him look like a superstar fighting against the evil gringo. One more thing about Thunder, he almost killed the ref here, fuck. He’s more aggressive towards refs than towards wrestlers, lel. Gran Guerrero was really good here. I hate Zavala’s new name. He took a very nasty and dangerous spot on the floor after being dropkicked by GG, the back of his head just bounced off, it looked scary. Euforia is underrated. Rojo is much better as a rudo. Really good and intense match helped by clever booking and layout.

Mascara, Super Parka, Diamante Azul vs. Peste Negra (Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas, Felino)

At least we got some nice Negro Casas stuff and Zacarias/Kemonito comedy. Almost everything else was shit. Semi-sober Niebla can be tolerable. Super Parka looks useless without getting his arse kicked around by Roooosh. Oh wait, I kinda lied, I actually did like one more thing – the doozy out of nowhere finisher by Diamante Azul.

Volador Jr. & Sombra vs. Mistico & Rush

Minus points for Mistico II and Rush not getting along. I know they’re real life hermanos, but c’mon CMLL… Volador and Sombra, on the other hand, had their moments of tensions and betrayal. But all in all, this was a great relevos increibles. Volador of all people ripping off Mistico’s mask was shocking to me, in a totally awesome fashion. Sombra and Mistico have great chemistry. Mistico was the star of the match. IMO. Everything he did was impeccable. Amazing athletic and aerial abilities (fives As in a row!). I loved how the match kept building towards Rush/Sombra, they were avoiding fighting until the very end when they just had to call it a day. It didn’t last too long, but it was a glimpse of potential magic. Obviously the finish was dirty. What REALLY matters is we’re getting RUSH VERSUS SOMBRA out of this match!

Angel de Oro, Guerrero Maya Jr., Delta vs. Hechicero, Boby Z, Disturbio

Really good match. It was your generic three-act trio, but every fall got a lot of time to tell stories and develop subplots, and the performers were wearing their working boots, so everything was okay. Boby and Maya were the best. Loved the finish and the way Maya and Hechicero paid so much attention to those three seconds in the end. Awesome shit.

Boring and uneventful, all the Relevos Increibles drama did nothing for me. No one worked hard here.
