Hey, I Checked Two NOAH Matches! Yay...

Not gonna waste any oxygen on why I don't bother with Pro-Wrestling NOAH in fully capacity anymore, it's a promotion that frustrates me immensely, they had so much potential back in the day, but the series of horrendous booking decisions and Misawa's death ultimately doomed this fed. These days they're just... there, I guess, they exist. They do bust out a good live crowd for their biggest shows from time to time, but I wonder how much of it is true, they're known for lying about numbers heavily.

TLDR, they still have some great wrestlers, especially in Junior Division (Ogawa, Harada, Ohara, Zack, Ishimori), but the management is the key problem. I guess Taue doesn't give a shit anymore, Akiyama is long gone which leaves us with Marufuji, and we should all know his wrestling philosophy by now. He's terrible and his philosophy is terrible. You have these fine wrestlers who are great in their own leagues but in NOAH they have to work this Marufuji style with a bunch of QUICK MOVES and faux fighting spirit.

Presentation is also an issue, NOAH is just not visually attracting, not at all. I used to love that green ring with black ropes, but now? I dunno... something's different.

Anyway:

Global League 2014/10/21

Nakajima/Kojima **1/4 (Nakajima has all these big and impactful moves, but he has no idea how to pace them carefully; what happened to this guy? Kojima's veteran run in NJPW is being tremendous but we didn't see it here, at all, his lack of desire to sell was so obvious)

Sekimoto/Morishima ***1/4 (good match but just imagine what these two could've done if this was Morishima from 5-6 years ago... I feel bad for Sekimoto, it's not easy to look dumb working the Marufuji big match style)
