Saikyo Tag League 2014
(2014/10/31)
3. MEN’S
Teioh, Hercules Senga, Tsutomu Oosugi vs. Shiori Asahi, Shinobu, Heddi French
Fun,
light-hearted match, nice mix of comedy and solid puroresu. It could have used
more of Asahi, though.

4. Saikyo Tag League 2014 (Death Block)
– OPEN THE SURPRISE BOX DEATHMATCH: The Brahmans (Shu & Kei) vs. Ryuji Ito
& Abdullah Kobayashi
A Brahman
brothers match, which means whacky shit and comedy, those are always fun in
Korakuen, everybody was having fun.

5. Saikyo Tag League 2014 (Strong Block):
Wild Network (Manabu Soya & Ryuichi Kawakami) vs. Koji Kanemoto &
Kazuki Hashimoto
Now, there
was nothing funny about this one, because this match was just a pure
ass-kicking, the climax with K-Hash and Kawakami was crazy stiff and manly, and
it felt satisfying as earlier in the match K-Hash took one vicious beating as a
face-in-peril. Damn neat match!

6. Saikyo Tag League 2014 (Strong Block):
Daisuke Sekimoto & Hideyoshi Kamitani vs. Twin Towers (Kohei Sato &
Shuji Ishikawa)
Wonderful
tag clash with multiple FIP sessions on Sekimoto and Kamitani that were all
grueling and highly punishing, it made for many sweet comebacks that escalated
into a red hot closing stretch between Daisuke and Kohei that was just…
beautifully brutal. Kamitani was a perfect sidekick that ate few millions nasty
headbutts, lariats and knee strikes. The Tower monsters were their usual
selves, a force to be reckoned with, two malicious motherfuckers.
****1/2
7. Saikyo Tag League 2014 (Death Block)
– SCAFFOLD & LIGHTTUBE DEATHMATCH: Heisei Gokudo Combi (Kankuro Hoshino
& Masato Inaba) vs. Yankee Nichokenju (Yuko Miyamoto & Isami Kodaka)
Good and
satisfying main event, they used the scaffold in a very punishing fashion and
HGC showed they can be a good duo when the comedy is put aside.
***1/2
