Lucha Underground: Episode 25

Episode 25

aired: 2015/4/29

Previously on LU. Dario is angry at The Crew and meets them with MATANZA~, who turns out to be his HERMANO (!!!), he says his brother is not as forgiving as he is, and if they fail him one more time, they're gonna deal with him. The Crew sold the monster very well. This was a sweet segment.

Fenix/Killshot was okay, but nothing more. Just a decent jumpfest. Killshot should stick with tags and trios.

Dario finds Drago in the bathroom once again, Dario is riling him up while also being a douche. Drago's got himself a nice new outfit.

Dario now finds Puma in the locker room, tells him he must fight Drago like every other challenger. Here comes Hernandez, yada-yada-yada, drama, and so on... Dario is such a great actor.

Famous B/Mandel/Massaro/Argenis, the 4-way of Pentagon's victims,  was thrown out of window after 10 seconds or so, Texano entered the ring and cleaned house, he's mad as fuck and wants that dude's (Daivari) head. Awesome, passionate, natural promo.

Dario's outside The Temple speaking on the phone when he is interrupted by the fan Marty "The Moth" Martinez, who asks for a chance to be a part of the show, but Dario belittles him. Another great delivery from the boss. Weird segment.

Cuerno/Cage/Shaun was good enough. Shaun's stupid facial expressions aside, it was a fun match. The Moth interfered at one point, lol.

Vampiro (announcer, legend) interviews the first ever Trios Champions. They still don't get along outside the ring, but they'll do whatever it takes to win their matches. Nice touch.

Drago/Puma was good, but not great. I could've done without Shaun's interference but at least they didn't go overboard with it and it actually advanced the story with Puma and Konnan. The actual match had its great moments, I loved those two or three submission attempts. The athleticism was breathtaking, of course, but the common denominator of most of Puma's matches displayed itself one more time here - Puma just insists on hitting as much spots as possible. Spoiler alert, Ricochet, less is more in pro-wrestling.

Drago loses and everyone is sad. Dario waits for him outside, Drago says he'll be back before BURSTING INTO FUCKING FLAMES, fuck yes, that was groovy.

  1. Fenix vs. Killshot **3/4
  2. Famous B vs. Ricky Mandel vs. Vinny Massaro vs. Argenis N/A (thank you, Texano)
  3. No. 1 Cont. for LU Title: King Cuerno vs. Cage vs. Hernandez ***
  4. Lucha Underground Championship: Drago vs. Prince Puma (c) ***1/2
