Dark Cuervo, Dark Scoria, Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. vs. Elegido, Drago, Bengala

A match. No big stakes, no big heat, no backstories, just six guys doing moves, and that’s about it. As good as it gets all things considered.

3-WAY LUMBERJACK STRAP MATCH: Electroshock & Hijo del Pirata Morgan vs. Murder Clown & Monster Clown vs. Cibernetico & Mesias

Immensely fun comedy match with two groups of lumberjacks using big leather straps, they also fought each other and not just the competitors, and the highlight was Hijo del Tirantes getting thrown outside the ring for some whipping. Short, sweet and totally light-hearted stuff, but also with lots of “serious” lucha moves, I really enjoyed this.

Averno vs. Myzteziz

Averno is Perrito’s natural heir as a short, smiling top rudo dickhead. He’s also Myzteziz’s old arch nemesis and it’s only natural their feud is revived. This was a great match, and in some aspects a potential lucha de apuesta between these two has even bigger potential than Perro/Myzteziz. While the latter’s obvious strength was in nasty hardcore fighting, this pairing can also provide us some nifty mat wrestling to kick things off and set up the pace. And needless to say, this pairing can also provide some excellent brawling. So, the bottom line is, there’s tons and tons potential in Averno/Myzteziz.

While Averno’s been kind of wasted in all the trios with Hell Brothers, Myzteziz is having a sneaky great year, highlighted by the Perro scuffle from February and some strong main event tags. The seconds were Ciber and Argenis, and they did a helluva job, especially Ciber as a shitbag rudo cheater, he injected some extra heat into the already heated match. The opening llaves was really cool and neat, but then things got even better once Averno took over as a dirty aggressor, he made Myzteziz bleed and all the following FIP segments and comebacks spots were awesome. Myzteziz really excels in these situations where he plays a sympathetic figure with his mask almost ripped off and his face covered with blood. Big spots and dives were properly paced and well done. Great match that left a plenty of room for more.

Blue Demon Jr. & Villano IV vs. Alberto el Patron & Brian Cage

Really fun Relevos Increibles match with unlikely partners that obviously turned into an all-out mess during the middle stretch, with rudos turning on their respective partners to restore the natural order. It was kind of predictable, but it was well done and super fun. It seems that Demon and V4 are far over from having problems with each other, and I salute to that, because once again their boxing exchange owned. They have great chemistry, and I’m really thorn whether I wanna see V4 continuing to feud with Demon, or maybe to start a real blood beef with Psycho Clown. Cage and Alberto once again had a great hatefest between each other and their feud is a pleasant surprise, I say. Looking forward to the hair match, should be neat.

NO DQ: Hijo del Fantasma & Joe Lider vs. Angelico & Jack Evans

Swank hardcore match, with Lider looking the best I’ve seen him in a long ass time. Usually he’s a totally useless sack of shit, but he was pretty good here, he took some nasty bumps and had few nifty moments on offense. Angelico and Evans were tremendous bumping machines once again and the beef with La Secta is not over, as the latter two screwed them over a win. Basically, I’d say Fantasma was the weakest link in the match, I guess this isn’t his type of fun. Fortunately the match had a strong structure and fast rhythm to hide his weaknesses.

Taya, Mini Abismo Negro, Carta Brava Jr. vs. Goya Kong, Octagoncito, Nino Hamburguesa

Another super fun match. Taya and Goya definitely seem to have a great chemistry now and their upcoming feud might do wonders for the division. They mesh so well. Also, Nino and Goya are basically a perfect for a mixed tag team. However, this was an Octagoncito show, dude was on fire in this match, so much slick and soothing smoothness, crazy spots too. Few more minutes, and this’d be a legit great match.
