AAA 2015/4/30

Lucha Libre World Cup – Grupo 1 Eliminatoria: Fenix vs. Electroshock vs. Hijo del Fantasma

Sweet little match, this was good, IMO, great balance between Fenix and Fantasma continuing their rivalry and Electro interfering via powerhouse moves. Some sequences were neat.

Dark Cuervo & Dark Scoria vs. Angelico & Jack Evans

Basic but well done and well booked tag that leads to a bigger (apuesta) match down the road. Jack Evans’ bumping was absolutely ridiculous here, flips of flips on flips everywhere!

NO DQ: Brian Cage, Dark Cuervo, Dark Scoria vs. Alberto el Patron, Angelico, Jack Evans

This was Alberto vs. Cage turned into a No DQ trio due to interferences and rescues. There was also Konnan getting massive hate heat, there was trash all over the ringside due to rudos being colossal assholes and cheaters. The match was only 10 min long, but it was groovy and highly energetic, all the brawling was intense and really heated, the comebacks and constant cutoffs were so great at heating up the atmosphere. Pretty damn great trio tussle that leads to bigger matches, such a well done match.

Mini Psycho Clown, Gran Apache, Carta Brava Jr. vs. Dinastia, Venum, Ludxor

Solid little match with Dinastia looking the best, and they finally set up a title match between him and Mini Psycho. Venum was also good.

**3/4

Lucha Libre World Cup – Grupo 2 Eliminatoria: Texano Jr. vs. Cibernetico vs. Parka

This was basically a 4-on-1 handicap match, as Tirantes was ref and Fantasma was freely helping Texano. So, you could say this was your usual Tirantes affair, only this time mixed with Parka comebacks.

Pentagon Jr. & Joe Lider vs. Myzteziz & Fenix

Good match overall, but I expected better. And if not better, than more vivid and action-packed at least, something among those lines. They were building things a lot, and when the payoff time arrived, they didn’t go crazy, idk, everything seemed kind of tamed for the names involved, although we did see few rough superkicks and Fenix doing physically impossible things. At the end of the day, good match, though. I really hope Pentagon becomes Myzteziz’ next big rival.
