ROH/NJPW Global Wars 2015
(2015/5/16)
Roderick
Strong vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Good but
barely. This needed to be way better considering the names involved and the
fact it was the last show on the tour. I feel like they were too obviously
trying to repeat the Ibushi/Nakamura magic, and it didn’t quite work. It had
some captivating spots and moments, but overall the match suffered from
Nakamura’s too contrived and far-fetched spot setups, also they rushed into
things unnecessarily. I hope they did better in England.

CHAOS
(Kazuchika Okada, Rocky Romero, Beretta) vs. Bullet Club (AJ Styles, Matt
Jackson, Nick Jackson)
What a way
to close the tour, with this fucking BANG! Stupendously amazing spotfest,
everything just clicked the right way, everyone did their thing and worked
really hard. All the superkick gimmick spots were used to perfection, unlike in
some earlier matches, and there were some legit holy shit moments. Reminded me
of the old school ROH in terms of atmosphere and big match feeling. AJ and
Okada did a helluva job in building-up to their upcoming Dominion clash. So
yeah, this was super fabulous, easily the greatest ROH match of the year, it
had great spots, great sequences, electric atmosphere and brilliant finish.

Matt
Sydal & ACH vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi & Tetsuya Naito
Fun enough
tag, although some things did nerve me, but whatever.

Dalton
Castle vs. Jushin Liger
Another fun
match, we got some comedy and then some asskicking, good shit. But Castle
should’ve gone over here. IMO.
