Lucha Underground: Episode 10

Episode 10

aired: 2015/1/14

We opened with a fantastic segment from Dario's office with him and Fenix, he's giving him the title shot because he wants to embarass Konnan, and what I loved is that he gave us a proper explanation to "why Fenix?", because Fenix won that 10-Way match and he also entered Aztec Warfare as No. 1, plus Dario's been impressed with him overall, so there you go. The creepy-but-sexy-as-hell Asian chick is shown stalking Dario, this was such a fabulous camp, loved it.

The 4-Way opener was excellent, all four guys managed to display their skills well. This was easily the best I've ever seen from Angelico, he was awesome, that crazy tope was a killer. Of course, the match was all about (Brian) Cage, he was introduced as a machine and he sure as hell wrestled as one. He looked the best I've seen him in a longer while, and this was probably the Top 7-8 performance from him, ever.

The next was Chavo talking and inviting Demon to the ring. Short and effective segment, Demon got some of his revenge on Chavo.

Cuerno/Drago was the shortest in their series, but they ended it on a very high note with a big spot, this was a perfect setup for next meeting. Good little spotfest, although they edited it, but I can only talk about stuff that actually made TV.

Before the main event we got to see Fenix' vignette. Cool, typical Lucha Underground stuff.

Fenix/Puma for the strap was great, probably the second best match they've done so far. Human videogame in parts, sluggish battle in other parts. Vampiro bringing up Finlay and his legendary badassery made me a very happy camper. Smashing title match. Cage attacked Puma after the match to position himself as the next challenger and I'm looking forward to it.

To sum up, E10 was fantastic, maybe the best edition in their short history.

  1. 4-WAY ELIMINATION: Aerostar vs. Argenis vs. Angelico vs. Cage ****
  2. King Cuerno vs. Drago ***
  3. Lucha Underground Championship: Fenix vs. Prince Puma (c) ****
