CMLL Bastante Nuevo

CMLL 2015/5/19

Triton, Blue Panther Jr., The Panther vs. Kamaitachi, Tiger, Okumura

Borderline great match with everyone looking good, Kamaitachi was super here with all the natural heat he was displaying. The primera got some nice time for classic llaves lucha, great stuff. BPJ busted out maybe his best performance yet.

Rush, Mascara, Marco Corleone vs. Mephisto, Ephesto, Euforia

Short and sweet trio, unfortunately with Rush playing a supporting role, but whatever, it was enough to make the match good, also the good layout really helped too. Euforia was carrying the rudo team.

12-MAN CIBERNETICO por Torneo Leyenda de Plata 2015: Mistico, Volador Jr., Dragon Lee, Titan, Fuego, The Panther vs. Mephisto, Niebla Roja, Luciferno, Cavernario, Virus, Kamaitachi

Bodies everywhere. Virus going VERY far! Two things you need to know about this match. Go watch it!

CMLL 2015/5/26

Maximo, Tetsuya Naito, Marco Corleone vs. Mephisto, Hechicero, Kraneo

Mostly a happy-spirited match with Marco and Maximo owning in that area, also we got some swank Hechicero/Naito portions, so hey – decent match overall.

CMLL 2015/5/26

Fuego, Magnus, The Panther vs. Virus, Okumura, Sangre Azteca

Great primera with some neat matwork, especially in Fuego/Virus match-up, and they set up such a pace and rhythm that wasn’t abandoned until the very end. Magnus looked great on multiple occasions here, The Panther is a proven class since the day he debuted, and Virus always extracts the very best out of Fuego.

Triton, The Panther, Super Halcon Jr. vs. Raziel, Cancerbero, Canelo Casas

Came for The Panther, stayed for Cancerbero! For some reason I cannot explain, I’ve always avoided ‘Bero’s matches before, probably due to his stupid name and awkward shape, I guess that planted this idea into my brain he’s not worth of tracking down. Same went for Raziel, but then few weeks ago I realized dude can grapple hard on everyone. I didn’t really see them much in action, only when they team with Virus or something like that. And goddamn it, that’s about to change, I swear. You know that feeling you get from watching a wrestler you barely watch and then you feel the urge to watch everything you can find from him? That happened to me here, with Cancerbero. He was great, he brought a beastlike intensity, there was hate in every chop he threw at his opponents, I loved the way he was carrying himself in the ring, reminded me of Villano IV, he was that kind of badass. Raziel was also awesome here, dude can play a dickhead rudo insanely well. But the MVP of the match was Triton, I must say, he truly acted like a captain for his trio, stepping up and being a savvy rabid dog all the time, man I loved this, and also each fall got enough time for developing stories and setting up a catchy pace. Halcon was also good, The Panther is ALWAYS good and his tope was once again unbelievable. Such a surgical precision, it’s a thing of beauty, true poetry in motion. Great hidden gem that everyone should watch, loved this match.

Tiger, Puma, Boby Zavala vs. Mascara, Stuka Jr., Fuego

Another super fun match, nonstop action and movement everywhere, also the best Mascara performance in a long ass time, very rarely happens that he carries a match, but damn me – it happened here. Not only he was the man of his team, he was the man of the match, and that’s saying a lot when you look at the rudo squad where all three luchadors are realistically better than Mascara. He looked like a big star here. Tiger and Puma worked like the best goddamn duo in the world at certain moments, and with Zaval in the mix, they looked so scary good. Aggression everywhere, Zavala is the future, he needs to win the Busca.
