They promised, they delivered. This was literally a one match show, and obviously Lucha Undergrouund did it right. There was no vignettes, no backstage stuff, no interviews, no Dario. Nada. Only the pre-show "Previously on..." video.
The match was brutal, hard-hitting and quite grueling, especially the second half with all the hardcore stuff. They paced themselves extremely well and the booking was spot on. I love how they booked the disposition of the falls. And then you got things like that INSANE tables spot and Alberto coming back to beat bajesus out of Mundo, it felt epic and added a lot to the whole spectacle. Striker's commentary after 4-4 was fantastic. TLDR, excellent match and the best Ironman in a very long time, super enjoyable stuff.
